PAST CONTINUOUS TENSE
Use the Past Continuous with NORMAL VERBS to express the idea that something was happening in a specific moment of the PAST.
Examples:
- You were learning English yesterday at 2:00 pm.
- You were not swimming this morning.
- Were you sleeping last night?
- I was sitting.
- I was not standing.
- Was he sitting or standing?
- They were reading their books.
- They were not watching television.
- What were you doing yesterday at this time?
- Why weren't you doing your homework?
